AbstractResearch is ongoing into the semantic aspects of e-science in terms of how to represent scientific knowledge as well as tools and models for how the scientific community can make better use of semantics in performing their research and collaborations. There are also many activities involving the introduction of semantic e-science concepts and technologies to various science communities, which will result in increasing both the users and scope of uses. This presentation will discuss some of the demands on the cyberinfrastructure and other considerations for the future of semantic e-science.
