| Abstract | Effective December 31, 2017, DoD contractors were required to implement "adequate" cyber security in order to guard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). These new regulations, captured in NIST standard 800-171, caused confusion in the DoD contractor community, particularly for small to medium sized businesses. This presentation will provide an overview of the new cyber-security requirements as well as outlining some of the more challenging aspects of achieving compliance with NIST 800-171. |
