AbstractThe poster describes the ongoing efforts of the DISCOVER project to develop automated detection algorithm for mountain gap wind events and resulting coastal ocean upwelling events. A climatology of these events will ultimately be maintained at the Global Hydrology Resource Center (GHRC). The DISCOVER project is funded by the NASA MEaSUREs program. UAH/ITSC staff are collaborating with Remote Sensing Systems personnel who lead the DISCOVER project. The GHRC is the designated NASA DAAC (distributed active archive center) for DISCOVER data sets.
