Lucy Wang

Dr. Lucy Wang is a research scientist with the Information Technology & Systems Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). She received a B.S. from the Nanjing University in China in 1997, a MS in Atmospheric Science from UW-Madison in 2004, and a Ph.D in Atmospheric Science from UAH in 2009.

In January 2010, Dr. Wang joined UAH's Earth System Science Center. Her research fields include improving the accuracy of regional chemical transport model (i.e., CMAQ) by applying satellite-retrieved trace gases, studying lightning influence on upper tropospheric ozone concentrations using the National Lightning Detection Network (NLDN) observation data, and evaluating model results with ozonesonde measurements.

In March 2018, Dr. Wang joined UAH's Information Technology & Systems Center as a research scientist, working with GHRC DAAC.
