Taylor Wright
Biography
Taylor Wright is a staff research scientist at ITSC and is the agile scrum master for the GHRC DAAC. She holds a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in International Political Science (Texas Christian University, 2007). Taylor served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Honduras from 2009-2012, and on her return to Huntsville she began working for UAH as the facilitator for a large DoED grant in the College of Education. When the grant ended in 2016 she became a NASA contractor and transitioned to project coordination for the Data Science and Informatics Group (now IMPACT Project) in the Earth Systems Science Center. In 2017 she became the SAFe Release Train Engineer for the ESDIS Ingest and Archive Train, where she supported various NASA DAAC teams (including GHRC) and other software teams in their agile development and testing of a cloud-native framework for data ingest, archive, and distribution (Cumulus Project). In 2020 Taylor rejoined UAH as a member of ITSC in order to support GHRC in its unique role as the pathfinder DAAC for operations in the Earthdata Cloud.
