AMSR-E SIPS: Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR) for Earth Observing Systems (EOS) Science Investigator-led Processing System

The Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer for EOS (AMSR-E) is a Japanese-designed passive microwave radiometer flying aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite. NASA has funded the AMSR-E Science Investigator-led Processing System (SIPS) to generate standard data products using science algorithms developed by the U.S. science team and to transfer those products to the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) where they are distributed to science researchers and the public.
