AbstractThe Information Technology and Systems Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville is researching and developing geoinformatics technologies that address solutions to GEOINT related problems. Technologies include; (1) the fusion of environmental data sets with intelligence community data to improve analyses, (2) event-driven data delivery, processing and generation that improves the preparedness and response to natural and man-made events, (3) the aggregation of event data in albums that allow for quicker access to event-relevant information for decisions, and (4) real-time analytical and visualization capabilities of extremely large data sets using advanced parallel processing and in-memory resources. The technologies discussed in this presentation are being demonstrated and utilized for a variety of GEOINT related solutions ranging from intelligence community analytics, disaster response, and scientific research.
