ITSC Senior Scientist for Modeling and Simulation Dr. Mikel D. Petty and his graduate students had eight journal and conference papers accepted for publication in February 2019. The conference papers will be presented at the 2019 ACM Southeast Conference (Kennesaw GA) and the 2019 IEEE SoutheastCon (Huntsville AL), both to occur in April 2019.

Leigh Sinclair and Ajinkya Kulkarni from the ITSC attended the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in Washington, D.C. where four posters were presented. Leigh conducted a lightning talk at the NASA Hyperwall titled “Application of ISS Lightning Data to Improve Hazardous Weather Preparation”, as well as chaired an oral session. Ajinkya conducted an oral presentation titled “Challenges Deploying Legacy Software in the Cloud”.
